The state you live in will require a specific amount of time behind the wheel (with supervision) before you can get your license. Most states require that you log these hours and submit them with your other paperwork to the DMV.
New Driver Log takes the hassle out of logging your time on paper. With our simple, easy-to-use app, you can record your driving activity as soon as you’ve gotten out of the car (APP MUST NEVER BE USED WHILE OPERATING A VEHICLE).
Leave it to us to track your time, show your progress and prepare your driving report for the DMV. You’ll have one less piece of paper to keep track of, and we’ll save you the time and hassle of filling out a form. You can use that extra time to practice smiling for your license picture!
How It Works:
We ask just a few questions to set up your profile—your name, the state you live in and your state’s requirements. Depending on your state, you may be required to drive some of your hours at night, in certain weather conditions, in the city, on the highway, etc. If you don’t know your state’s requirements, the app has a link to the DMV so you can find them.
Once you’re set up and have completed a drive (safely out of the vehicle), you simply enter the amount of time you drove, under what weather conditions and in what type of environment. You can even write a short description of your drive (such as “To and from Grandma’s house”) for your reference.
Each time you open New Driver Log, you’ll see your total hours driven against your total time required. You can view, email or print your activity at any time.
Drive safely, and always follow restrictions and safety rules for supervised driving.
